Ojú que caló!


Después del frío que hemos pasado este invierno ya es hora de dejar la desconfianza del 'mañana bajan las temperaturas a niveles glaciares' para sacar las chanclas, los shorts, la protección solar y sobre todo, mi mejor amigo en verano, el abanico.

Brain Empty, un chino muy apañado, ha pensado lo mismo que yo y ha dicho: pero yo además de sacarlo voy a decorarlo con métodos tradicionales!
y que trabajo más chulo ha hecho en su Chinese fan serie! Los quiero todos!

“I started the fan series in late 2005 and have been working on it ever since. Throughout the series, I’ve used assortment of colors, Chinese inks, paints, and other handicraft materials to create these on traditional Xuancheng thin-textured folding-fan paper. 

My initial intention with the series was to use fans, a long running symbol of traditional China, as a medium by which I, as a Chinese person, could pay tribute to my ethnic culture while also expressing a reaction / point-of-view of our generation toward current times.”
